Sunday mornings are one of the times that I love, where I'll be at the gym for my ballroom dance class. It has been a year that I've been a member of Fitness First (and, joining the class).
I've been exposed to basic steps of ballroom dance, such as Cha cha, Rumba, Paso doble, Rock & roll, and Waltz.
And ever since, being a fan of dance, I'll watch videos of TV Series, most of the time, So You Think You Can Dance. I know, there's more of the dance types and I love to watch them. Suddenly, I noticed that there's one dance that I've suddenly fell in love with (err I mean, I love to watch the Tango the most but I think there's no chance to learn it yet). Starting about last week, I've downloaded some videos of that particular dance of So You Think You Can Dance that was performed by some of my favourite dancers ^_^
The Jive
It is an upbeat and fast dance, and I'd love to try and see whether I'm good to go for it. And it was kind of late to propose to my ballroom teacher to have a jive class on this coming Sunday as he mentioned we'll be revising the Rumba.
So there I went earlier this morning, to the class. I thought I might suggest the jive for next week.
When I came into the studio, the class has started, and there was an upbeat song played. I was puzzled as I thought we'll. be doing the slow Rumba. So I thought it was changed to Rock & Roll when I saw everyone was bouncing.
But guess what?! It was Jive!
It took me few minutes to believe it haha!
I was so happy, that I followed the choreography with full effort. I didn't take breaks at all. I kept bouncing without even thinking about exhaustion. Ohhhh
Ok here comes the funny part. In our class, we had more ladies. So when it comes to partnering, we'll have some ladies 'being single' XD. This was what my teacher said when he sees the remaining partnerless ladies:
"Okay, everyone have a partner? Errr I'm sorry ladies, but..... I'll put my trust on Fie to lead you, later you'll change partners"
And I jokingly went, "Ohhh promiscuous aaa", then they laughed. I mean, I felt so honoured (not for being able to change partners and dominate the ladies) that my teacher wanted me to help him out! It was fun, really really fun ^_^
I just feel that it was magic. I thanked my teacher for bringing us the routine, my shirt was soaked (I hardly sweat with other dances before) and as soon as I reach home, I finally felt the exhaustion haha!
